Went on holiday to wales with Tash for four days and had a lot of fun. Discovered a love for running around teh ocean, well lets call it beach, in a wet suit with a body board.

Ive was offered some work with "dot Net", a IT consultancy firm today, to do during my spare time outside my current job, which is going gr8 :).

Im apparently one of the mose highly trained people in the region for the use of Webservices and Epicores Vantage ERP system. Now if that not enough to make me smile i dont know what is. Well ok their are a few things but ne one coule be reading.

I was given a server last week at work. Which brings my running total of computers that the company have provided me with to two new desktop machines, one being the most powerfull the company have, and one U1 rack mounted server :)

For the unknowing Film Four are showing Studio Gibi Movies on film four after the 3 pm movie, so the Studio gibli films are on about 5pm. For though of you that dont know studio Gibli they made Princess monoke and spirited away and shame on you!

Well booblass's demand at least. Well no soo much as a demand but more of a question... but u get the idea.

Work work work... AS the saying does go i beleve. Have started my new job and loving it. Though to start of with they are going easy on me with simple things like User admin via Active Directory and lots of windows reinstall's... To many windows install's! Which bring me nicely onto my attemt to get a fly ass unnatended.txt going... sept it refuses to work properly! Bloody computers.

More sensicle stuff thats happened...

Went to warrick castle last week with a lovely lady. All was good accept the really bad weather which, as irony would have, got a hell of a lot better at the end of the day when we decided to leave. The castle was really nice to have a look round and go running round the rampart's though through all this exploring i have determined that all medival were short arses! Trying to get up and down the windy steps when ure over 6" tall is not easy. Tasha decided to spend some time chasing peacock's, naughty :p. I got some nice pictures and we almsot got to see one with its feathers fully out and raring to go.

Ne way thats enough drivel for now :p

I Have a new job! No more sodding Sainsburys!

Needless to say the talk yesterday went well! :) I start at Thomas Dudleys on the 17th april so only tow more weeks of Sainsburys :)

The job role is very sweet. Basiacally ill be replacing Adam who does all the VB coding, MS Acces and Crystal reports work while shadowing the Richard who does all the hardware installation and windows server work. The role covers nearly everything computing and im very excited and cannot wait to start!

Long time not LJ for me >_<

Have almost secured myself a new job :) have been for two interviews already which were comprised of a verbal interview and a coupple of tests to asses my abilities. The second interview went much better then the first which I wholey put down to the whole "not having the flu second time round", yes I meen influenza not bloody Man Flu. The practicle part of the second went so well Adam, one of the testes, was slighly peeved I tore through his test and the comment "we carnt hire him cause he will put us out of a job" was definatly a confidence booster and the "actually imploy him then he can do all the work and we can go down the pub" was another good comment. I was informed that they would let me know by the end of the week about the job... that didnt happen... they phoned me at the end of the day wanting me to come in on thursday for a chat about the job so it all looks good :)

Noticed a few people out on the weekend and a certain tawdryfilth sporting a new(?) dress, looking very nice and, i noticed, being followed around by a young man :p. Surprised to see lordknightfall their, did u get that job in the end mate?.  saw strangegothdude who came over, said hi, looked a bit puzzled then wondered off. I know mine and TJ's conversations on Eve Online can be a bit daunting but didnt realise they were that bad!

Eve Online:
I have joined the ranks of the MMORPG... well i joined the ranks the end of last year just have never posted about it. The main reason why is because i called my character "Danny Liberty". Let that be a lesson to people who name characters in games by grabbing the first book at hand >_<

Was experimenting with Visial Basic, dont laugh, for to be ready for ne test for the interview and figured out that you can do dynamic memory allocation in VB and I managed to get a dynammically allocated linked list on the go. Was well impressed with that feet.

And hopefully the last. A38 speed was changed to 30mph for teh roadworks which IMHO is a bit drasitc as the ROAD IS NOT ACTUALLY BEING WORKED ON. Short story got caught doing 50mph... and i think the lne of cars that were behind me will all be getting tickets too. Well done police. I fell much safer now knowing that the cones can feel safe.

My vertificate came through today so I thought I would stick a pictre of it on here. Though quite geeky Meh :p . they even sent me a Membership card to put in my wallet.. One way to impress the ladies. Well ok maybe not. MCP exam on monday so hopefully will be certified by Microsoft too soon!

6 hrs of sleep a night is not good while trying to pull 9 hours at work, not much i knw, and a few hours of study at home. Though it certainly interesting to study this hard >_< i carnt having worked this hard for anything. interestingly enough i think it the working all day and realising that im _still_ in sainsbury's spurns me on during the evening.

Ok so maybe not _all_ study. I thought as i was learnig to become more of a geek, with the getting the A+ and havign my MCP exam on 6/1/6 :) and working on my MSCA then MSCE, as a right of passage ive started on a MMORPG, Eve Online, Think elete but online with thousands of other people kicks some ass. i need to get into a corpration though so i can go to war with team mates but im having fun solo'ing around.

Had a little "well i never thought that would happen to me" the other day. was worth a little chuckle but only to my self. Well pull up a chair :p, Was all about books you see. i have lent out most of my books, though a currently pultry collection of 12~ i only have 4 left in my house. Their i was reccomending, and once again fingind myself pimping DragonLance ... , and though " 9 months ago i would never have had ne books to lend out nether mind and option on book's" nice to know people can change :)... one thing though... I wish they would stop beating about teh bush AND BRING RAISTLIN BACK INTO THE STORY. Sodding agony waiting for her reapaearance in dragons of summer flame. I know its going to happend and all the peaces are moving together but "Argh". For all you Blind Guardian fans the song soulforged from a night at the Opera is about Raistlin.

Though sadly all this study and reading still has not improved my spelling.

Babylin 5 night is going great :) though the actor that plays sincalir.. well wehn i say "actor" its in the looses sense.

Did it! passed the second exam with a mark of 780 /900! Im a fully qualified CompTIA certified computer technitian :) All i need to do is wait for me certificate to come through.

Hopefully on the 23/24th jan i will sit my 70-270 exam and get my MCP status :) then onto my MCSE.

What a classic SCI-FI. Better the second time around then when watching it on TV all them years ago :) Watched the first 3 episodes with a few mates all crammed in my room eating malteasers. Nice to relax after a day of Eve Online, A+ revision and MCP 70-270 revision.

After the many many hours of revising, ok not that many but im a nerd i know this stuff, i took the core hardware portion of my CompTIA A+ certification and scored 719/900 with a passing mark set at 515.

Needless to say im happy about it :) All I need to do now is sit the core software exam, pass it, and i will be CompTIA A+ certified technician then ill look toward becoming a Microsft Certified Profesional which im hopping to be by the end of febuary 2006.

The Virtual Air Guitar project, developed at the Helsinki University of Technology, adds genuine electric guitar sounds to the passionately played air guitar.
